Pokemon Trading Card Game Mega Evolution Trail with National Trust

0

Pokemon is having a blast this year, not just with Pokemon Go, but with all of their games. Their 30th anniversary coming around this year has given the company a platform to rollout a bunch of different big updates to their games, as well as see re-releases of older games on the Nintendo Switch and merch launches. Now, to add to it, Pokemon has also announced the Pokemon Trading Card Game collaborating with the National Trust, for the Mega Evolution trail.

For those of you who do not know, the National Trust is a UK conservation charity that looks after and protects a number of gardens, natural spaces, monuments and historical houses within the UK. I’ve actually been to a large number of National Trust locations in and around Essex which always are fun to walk around.

There are 14 National Trust locations, from 23rd of May, that will have the Pokemon Trading Card Game Mega Evolution Trails:

  • Attingham Park, Shropshire
  • Belton House, Lincolnshire
  • Blickling Estate, Norfolk
  • Dyrham Park, South Gloucestershire
  • Hughenden, Buckinghamshire
  • Kingston Lacy, Dorset
  • Lanhydrock, Cornwall
  • Quarry Bank, Greater Manchester
  • Saltram, Devon
  • Sizergh, Cumbria
  • Speke Hall, Merseyside
  • Tredegar House, Newport
  • Wimpole Estate, Cambridgeshire
  • Winkworth Arboretum, Surrey

From the 13th of June, Rowallance Garden in County Downs will also have the Pokemon Trading Card Game Mega Evolution Trails as well.

These trails are included with standard National Trust admission, and run during the half-term dates in May for the local areas. It’s meant to start off a Summer of Pokemon Play at National Trust, so there is more to come as the summer approaches.

Each of the trails have points on them that feature a simple physical or creative challenge which are inspired by different Mega Evolution Pokemon, so this collaboration is very much aimed at children. The idea is to explore the traits of a Pokemon through imaginative play and gentle activity. These trails will also have a trail sheet to help young trainers keep track of their discoveries and at the end, there will be a photo point with Pokemon Trading Card Game Mega Evolution Trail backdrop.

It’s exciting to hear about all of these collaborations between Pokemon and various spots around the world. As someone who is local to Wimpole Estate, you’ll likely see me there on the opening day!
