Jackbox is a household name, with a bunch of different party packs that have gone from the trivia style, household games to things that involve drawing, silly word games, and so much more. They’ve released announced the Party Pack 12, and now have revealed some of the games!
Jackbox Party Pack 12 has five new games that haven’t been seen before. They seem to always be creating something new and interesting, especially when it comes to party games where you and your friends all sit on the couch. The first one revealed is Idol Factions, which is suitable for two to eight players. This is a ‘battle of facts’ where two teams (or players) race to sort answers into the correct categories. I can see with teams this being a chaotic, yet fun game of yelling and figuring out facts!
We Forgot a Card is a three to eight player game that tasks everyone with crafting a ridiculous greeting card for weird occasions, acting as the art-y game in the Jackbox Party Pack 12, which is always welcome. They seem to be able to purchase these in real life, much like you can purchase Jackbox shirts you make in game in real life in one of their other packs, which is always interesting.
Debate and Switch is a two to eight player game where you and your friends need to have debates on light-hearted topics, persuading your other players to side with you. I am not a huge debater, but do wonder what sort of topics will be debated in this game.
Megapals is a three to eight player game that tests how well you know the other players in the room, as you take on impulsive wordsmithing challenges and try to figure out if you actually know who’s in the room.
Hyperface is the last announced game in the Jackbox Party Pack 12, for three to eight players, where you can take selfies or use stock photos, and then warp them to respond to prompts. I do feel this will be particularly popular in our household, where our youngest already warps her selfies to make memes of herself.
