Eremite Games updates Against the Storm, announces a new whole game

0
Against the Storm is a visually striking city management game with a distinctly crunchy gameplay system. Including a huge array of resources and management systems can make the game feel uninviting to some, and the Haulers update should help lighten the mental load. Oh, they also have a brand new game in the Against the Storm universe coming, and it looks like a 3rd-person survival Remnant-like…

Against the Storm is a somewhat hardcore game, true to the genre and without any “dumbing down”. For those of you wanting to feel a little less encumbered, the Haulers update coming on July 8th will enable per-warehouse Hauler commands. This means you can set up Hauler inputs and outputs in a matter of clicks, all from one convenient pop-out menu.

This menu allows you to select the type of haul as well as the priority of buildings. Higher-priority buildings will, naturally, get their products and ingredients distributed and delivered first. If you leave everything on the default priority they will attempt to be serviced equally, but it’s probably best to shove your farms up a couple of slots just to make sure…

Against the Storm Universe Expands with 3rd Person Shooter

The announcement of a whole new game in the same universe as Against the Storm wasn’t expected, but is quite welcome. As someone who can’t crunch numbers and manage resources well enough, the new game looks more up my street:

While short, this tease shows a 3rd-person, grounded perspective and implies we’ll be exploring the perils of Against the Storm face-first (or rather, gun-first). The wooden building and the appearance of another character (who looks distinctly like a “player character” representation) oozes co-op survival vibes. This would allow Eremite Games to keep their focus on resource management and logistics while exploring their dark fantasy world in a whole new, wholly terrifying, perspective.

Against the Storm is available on PC, PlayStation, XBOX and Nintendo Switch with the new update dropping July 8th
