WiZmans World Re;Try – Turn Fairies into Monsters

0
I am going to start this off by stating that I have never played WiZmans World previously, however, I have had the chance to get my hands on WiZmans World Re;Try. This is a HD remaster of the latter game, that puts you in the role of a wizard, looking to use your magical powers and evolving smaller creatures that are there to help you.

Your small creatures or homunculi are what they are called in the game, are like little fairs that talk to you and guide you. You live in the city of Wizarest, which has been cut off from the outside world. Everyone there has forgotten all of their past, including who they were, but there is a dangerous dungeon nearby that has been louring them in — though after 100 years, nobody has been able to come out with an exit to the outter world.

In WiZmans World Re;Try, you will not have to fight alone and instead have those three fairy creatures that have various powers to be used to defeat monsters in the dungeon. Battles are turn-based, where you very much need to use the timeline of the attack for your battle. I found this to be interesting and add another layer of strategy onto the game itself. You could scroll through the timeline and plan out the perfect strategy, chaining up attacks, so that you could kill your enemy in a more efficient manner.

These little creatures that help you can also fuse with the monsters that have been defeated, then using the monster’s stats and skills to further fight more monsters. Being able to take on the form of the monster that you feel will best help you is also quite interesting! I found myself very much gaining resources from slain monsters and attempting to keep my fairy creatures in the best possible way for battle.WiZmans World Re;Try is an interesting game, even if you have not played the previous release version of the game. The graphics are sharp and the whole thing feels quite complex and full of content.

WiZmans World Re:Try is out on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PC.
