The brand new expansion for the Pokémon TCG, Delta Reign, has just been announced for November and features the return of Mega Rayquaza ex. It’ll be available for purchase from the 6th of November worldwide.
Rayquaza hasn’t been featured in the Pokémon TCG format since Ancient Origins and will be among the strongest offerings available among the new ex Pokémon in Delta Reign. Alongside Rayquaza, Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex will all feature as the four new ex cards available in the expansion.
The new Mega Evolution Delta Reign Expansion will include:
- Four Mega Pokémon ex
- Six Pokémon ex
- Six Stadium cards creating three Legendary Stadiums
- 14 illustration rare Pokémon
- 17 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards
- Six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
The new Mega Evolution – Delta Reign set will be available in booster packs, elite trainer boxes and an assortment of collections that customers will be able to find with participating retailers. As most of us know when trying to get new product for any TCG these things sell fast so it may be a good idea to pre-order where possible.
The Pokémon program also has a number of pre-release events available to take part in, letting trainers get their hands on the new cards a week or so before the actual full release date. These events are a good chance to compete in a sealed competitive format or even just to get your hands on some of the cards earlier and check out what the new set’s about.
For those trainers that prefer their cards a little more digital, you’ll be happy to know that the new Delta Reign set will be available on the 5th of November on the Pokémon TCG app to peruse and check out the cards online before getting to grips with the real deal the following day. Players will be able to collect and battle the new Pokémon as well as earn new rewards based around the new set release. This will be available for IOS, Android, MacOS and Windows devices.
