Pokemon is doing something mysterious with the European Space Agency in October

Now, there is not a lot of information on this, but Pokemon has announced that it’s collaborating with the European Space Agency for World Space Week. This coming October 4th to the 10th, they are “pairing up to unite curiosity, exploration and imagination, values which both companies hold close to their missions.”

Pokemon has been collaborating with so many different brands, from LEGO to National Trust Locations, so it’s interesting to hear more announcements of new collaborations to see how they meld with Pokemon.

“Working with Pokémon, a brand with such a rich and imaginative world, represents a unique opportunity for ESA to connect broad audiences with space through creative storytelling,” said AnneSophie Bradelle, Head of ESA Communication Department. “Rooted in shared values of curiosity and imagination, this collaboration supports ESA’s ambition, as set out in Strategy 2040, to inspire Europe, especially young people and future generations.”

Pokemon has sparked adventure and discovery, which aligns with the goals of the European Space Agency, where both are trying to get individuals to look beyond and to see what adventures are out there. The details of the collaboration haven’t been released yet and there are only limited images, but I am guessing there will be a time limited Pikachu in this space outfit, that hopefully will also come to the likes of Pokemon Go!

I guess we will need to wait and see closer to October to see what Pokemon and European Space Agency have in store for us!
