Hotel Barcelona announces Late Check-Out DLC and Switch 2 version
Hotel Barcelona has announced the Late Check-Out DLC which isn’t a new side story, but instead is a direct continuation of the descent through the hotel through adding in new environments, bosses, enemies, and narrative story into the game, following on from the Under New Management update. It adds in two new story stages: Dusk Valley and Grandall Estate.
We previously reviewed Hotel Barcelona:
“That story has an interesting concept at least. You play as US Marshall Justine who crashes her car in the middle of nowhere, only to wake up in the titular hotel. The problem is there’s no way to leave the hotel unless she, along with the soul of a serial killer known as Dr. Carnival, can slay all of the other killers residing in and around the hotel. Does it make sense? No. Does it have to? Also no. Dr. Carnival fills you in fairly early that an entity known as The Witch is keeping you trapped at the hotel, and by eliminating the other killers you’ll become strong enough to confront her and escape.”
The Hotel Barcelona Late Check-Out adds two-fully new stages; Dusk Valley Golf Resort and The Former Grandall Estate, which provide a lot of gameplay to explore. There are 17 new enemy types and 2 new boss encounters, along with additional story content and cutscenes to add to the current narrative. The combat system has also been expanded and there are new environmental mechanics for experience players too.
On top of this DLC and all of the changes in the base game from the Under New Management overhaul, Hotel Barcelona is now officially coming to Nintendo Switch as a complete package. If you want to jump in on the console action, Hotel Barcelona is also currently 35% off on Xbox. Elsewise you can find it over on Steam.
