Kitman Playtest Hits The Locker Room On The 30th of May

0

Kitman, created by Outlier, an Irish-based studio, offers a unique perspective of a manger of the kit room and has just announced that its playtest will run from the 30th of May, until the 3rd of June.

Kitman offers a 1 – 4 player job simulator experience, letting players fulfil orders, repair gear and just generally look after the team both of and on the pitch. Once you’ve prepped the equipment for the day, you’ll be flung into a high stakes situation where live requests will come in for repairs which you and your other Kitmen will need to fulfil in order to keep the team going and performing at their peak.

There is also a deeper level of strategy being deployed within Kitman allowing you to fine tune the team’s equipment and stats in-between games as well as choose formations, scout talent and lead the club to the top of the league tables all from the comfort of the kit office whilst patching clothes, fixing studs on boots and printing numbers on shirts.

Kitman can be played as a solo experience but is ideally made to be a co-operative experience unlike Outliers previous title Mars Attracts which was a single player simulator-style game that had you managing a park but was also play tested heavily before release and was created following the success of This Means Warp, with Kitman receiving the same treatment. I played some of it earlier in the year while at New Game Plus and really enjoyed it, even if it felt a little leftfield compared to what I normally play.

Any information gathered in the playtest for Kitman will be used to build upon the game and shape the future of this sports management simulator into something that players can look forward to experiencing in full on Kitman’s release.

You can sign up to be a part of the playtest for Kitman here and have your say, as you try the game.
