War might never change, but your weekly ttRPG sessions definitely can by swapping out your regular setting for the recently released Fallout: The Roleplaying Game and taking a step into the post-apocalyptic atomic-age future of the long-running series.

This Core Rulebook gives you everything you need to start spinning up a session, from character creation and setting history through to a mass of tables covering in-universe weapons, items and meds. There’s even an 18-page introductory scenario and a selection of story hooks for your game master to fish through when it comes to spinning up your next campaign.

Fallout: The Roleplaying Game uses the 2D20 system, so, do make sure that you have (at least) a couple of d20 for each player as you’ll need to roll up between two and five of them for checks.

As a note, other variations of the Fallout games work differently and require different dice:

• Fallout Factions uses a d10 system.
• Fallout Wasteland Warfare uses d12s for reductions (alongside a d20 for checks).
