Wingspan Bird Pack: Asian Avians is out now

0

Wingspan, the digital adaptation of the board game of the same name, has been adding different bird packs this year including the British Birds pack. Their newest bird pack, the Asian Avians are now out on all platforms that you can find the game.

We previously reviewed the digital version of Wingspan:

“This combination of interface issues aside, there’s little to dislike about Wingspan on Steam or Xbox One. Both games are identical in terms of the attractive, pastel visuals, and whilst the choice of background music is fairly limited (maybe three tracks) it’s pleasant enough and as the strapline promises, it’s a “relaxing bird game”.”

Wingspan is as relaxing as ever, but the digital interface clips its wings, slightly

The Asian Avians bird pack adds 25 fan-designed Asian bird cards, each with their own unique powers and their own songs that you can listen to. You will be able to add never-before-seen Asian birds from a variety of different habitats to your game, along with an exclusive player portrait.

This is the second of the six new Bird Packs which are coming to the game over the next few years, with the future packs focusing on Continental Europe, New Zealand, and North America.

If you have the Wingspan: Bird Packs Season Pass, you will have both the Asian Avians and British Bird packs automatically, as soon as they are released. Otherwise, you can individually purchase each of these packs for the platform that you currently play Wingspan on.

These new cards are absolutely stunning, with lots of breathtaking pictures of the birds, some of which I have never seen before. We will be keeping our eyes out for the next Bird Packs that will be making their way to Wingspan, to see what else is added. It’s very interesting to see the unique playstyles that all of these new cards bring, while the gameplay itself still remains balanced.
