Pokémon Champions launches on Mobile June 17th
Pokemon Champions, a free-to-start battle game is coming to iOS and Android on June 17th, with seamless cross-platform play and shared save data across mobile and Nintendo Switch.
We previously reviewed Pokemon Champions:
“My conclusion here is simple. Manage your expectations. If you want to have a pretty way to battle Pokemon, and even have a slight inkling of wanting to play competitive (even casually, which feels oxymoron to say but I’m hoping you catch my drift), this FREE software is well worth a download and a few hours of your time. If you want to sink money into it after that, that is your choice.”
Along with this cross-platform compatible release, Pokemon Champions is having a Mega Raichu Debut where you can log-in during the event to claim Raichu, Raichunite X and Raichunite Y via the in-game mailbox. Mega Raichu X features the Electric Surge ability, triggering Electric Terrain to boost Electric moves by 30 percent and prevent sleep. Mega Raichu Y on the other hand features the No Guard ability, ensuring all moves used by or against it hit with 100 percent accuracy. This event is taking place from June 17th until September 2nd, so there is plenty of time to check your mailbox (on mobile or Nintendo Switch) to claim these rewards.
Pokemon Champions already has a strong player base, and we feel it will just continue to grow as people start playing on their mobile devices. Pre-registrations are now live for both Android and iOS.
