Blades of Fire Version 2.0 adds new difficulty mode and new playmode
Blades of Fire has had a new update, which adds a few key features to improve gameplay. It’s is a dark fantasy adventure game where you are challenged to forge your own weapons, battle in combat, and follow your fate.
“Blades of Fire is a robust entry into the Souls-like action RPG genre, and it’s better than about 90% of the similar games that I’ve played. It’s a little bit easier and more forgiving, yet it still offers the same high points either through creation of a superb weapon or because you made progress past a seemingly unassailable foe. It offers rewards in various forms and keeps you compelled to push forwards, even when some areas require multiple tries. For me, Blades of Fire is a massive success and a game that any combat or action game fan should try.”
Blades of Fire is an addictive blacksmithing and fighting adventure that I couldn’t put down
The version 2.0 update brings a Titanium difficulty, where enemies will have significantly increased health and deal 20% percent more damage when they attack you. Boss encounters have stricter timing-based mechanics, which challenges you to make precise decisions when it comes to attacking. Some of the anvils that are throughout the game to rest and travel are cursed, so they will hinder you and not be relied on. This mode of Blades of Fire is meant to challenge players, make the game itself need more understanding of enemies, and test your abilities.
Along with the new game mode, the 2.0 version of Blades of Fire has added New Games Plus mode, which is unlocked after you have finished the base game. When you start this mode, you will be restarting Alan’s adventure, however you will keep a lot of your progression, including skills, upgrades, weapons, blueprints, materials, forge memory, codex, spells, health, and unlocked skins – however enemies will have scaled with you as well. This is designed to test fully upgraded characters and add more gameplay.
You can now customise your weapons in the New Game Plus mode, as well as new skins, forge statues, and weapon parts that can only be found in this secondary playthrough.
