Gunnar is well known for their series of gaming glasses, from office wear, to pairs inspired by video games, to pro gamer glasses. These types of glasses are extremely popular as Gunnar offers different levels of tint, which block out levels of blue light. Blue light comes from the screens that we look at — our phones and computers — which can cause eye strain and keep you up at night. Recently, Gunnar has announced that they have teamed up with Alienware to create the new, Bermuda Triangle glasses.
The Bermuda Triangle glasses are the latest in the Gunnar x Alienware collection, which aims to be a fusion of futuristic design and performance-driven protection. These glasses are bold, in your face, and look fantastic. The Bermuda Triangle is one single wide lens, which covers you entire view, which delivers ‘panoramic clarity’. I quite like the blue colour of the Bermuda Triangle glasses frames.
This pair of glasses comes with either a clear tint, which gives you a clear view of colours or an amber tint, which blocks out more blue light and gives the world a slight orange glow. Either tint comes with their special coating, which is anti-reflective and smudge resistant, although this pair doesn’t come in prescriptions due to the lens type.
It’s going to be interesting to see what other futuristic designs come to the Gunnar x Alienware collection and how exactly they look. These glasses are such an interesting design and they feel like they are pushing the limits of fashion and design, while still being useful and easy to wear.
