Tiny Bookshop welcomes you into its cozy store on iOS and Android July 9

Skystone Games, and developer neoludic, have just announced that their cozy management sim, Tiny Bookshop, is getting a mobile release on both the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store on July 9th. With a currently Overwhelmingly Positive review score on Steam, you can bet that long standing fans are excited to see this is going to be available in their pockets!

In case you’re unfamiliar, Tiny Bookshop is a management sim where you take the role of a tiny bookshop owner, leaving the hustle and bustle of city life behind and setting up shop in the coastal town of Bookstonbury-By-The-Sea (no, I am not making that up). This is a narrative experience over anything else, with no fail states, no timers – you’re encouraged to take your time and truly drink in the surroundings, and meet the people of this quirky town.

Along the way, you’ll be able to purchase new books and decorations for your little – sorry – Tiny Bookshop, which adds character and in some cases, even new mechanics. Point the townsfolk towards their new favourite book, or maybe help them expand their literary horizons? They can’t stay reading just romance all the time – that’s no fun for anybody.

That’s all well and good, I hear you cry, but aren’t mobile ports of games sometimes not that great? Well, rest assured, the devs have taken some real care with this one. Tiny Bookshop has been configured to promote one hand gameplay with a touch first interface, meaning it is perfect for sitting on the couch and playing on your device. Not only that – and this is a pretty big selling point for me – no microtransactions or ads will be included within. If you’re still on the fence, there will be a demo that you will be able to download and try before committing your time and money further. Plus, if you do decide to take the plunge, your progress is saved!

With a price point of $7.99, it might seem a little steep for mobile, but this is a full fledged console game shrunk down to fit in your pocket without compromise. If you have that change spare, I highly encourage you to try the game out. Remember, you can always try the demo first – I promise you won’t be left disappointed!

Tiny Bookshop launches on July 9th onto Apple Store and Google Play.
